I loved photographing these surprise proposal pictures in Downtown Nashville for Jack and Nicole! Although proposing on the Nashville pedestrian bridge wasn’t Jack’s first choice, he did an amazing job putting together a sweet surprise for his fiance! He coordinated to have their families with them for the big moment, which made it extra special!
Jack and Nicole met in college through a mutual friend. They met at a football game and got set up on a sorority formal! Nicole was at the University of Tennessee and Jack was at the University of Georgia. They started their relationship in long distance and managed that for over two years before relocating to Nashville! Jack proposed to Nicole in Downtown Nashville on the day that they moved into their new home, which was absolutely perfect!
My favorite thing about photographing Nashville proposals is that we also get to take a few engagement photos! After the surprise proposal, we take pictures that can be used as your engagement announcement or even for your save the dates! This is always a fun way to celebrate together and to capture the pure joy! In Jack and Nicole’s case we were also about to take family pictures, since they were all part of the surprise!
The Pedestrian Bridge is one of the best places to propose in Nashville because we’re able to include the fun city skyline in the background! This is a top pick for most of my clients, especially those that are planning their proposal from out of town!
Here is what Nicole had to share about her Nashville proposal
The proposal was a total surprise! Jack managed to get both of our families into town to help us move to our new home… I had no idea that they were really there to celebrate the proposal. We started the day moving our stuff into our new place. Then in the late afternoon the plan was to go to the bridge for some family photos. Eventually Jack and I were posing for a photo and he got down on a knee to ask me to marry him!
After talking with him and the family, I found out that he had originally planned to propose to me during a recent trip to Los Angeles. He had coordinated for both of our parents to fly out to LA and surprise us at the Getty in Los Angeles. But the plans were at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak and our families were not able to travel. And he managed to plan a truly unforgettable day and moment for us to share forever.
