I had the best time capturing Tyler and Darien’s proposal recently! The spot the Tyler chose for the big moment was the Pedestrian Bridge  in downtown Nashville. Tyler arranged everything in advance. He knew how important it would be to have this Nashville proposal photographed. You can’t recreate those big life moments after the fact. Kudos to Tyler for thinking ahead.

Tyler and Darien came from Louisiana and planned a fun filled weekend getaway to Nashville. They brought some good friends along to share in the fun! Tyler started this Nashville getaway with a stroll along the Pedestrian Bridge. Unbeknownst to Darien, that was the very spot he chose to surprise her and pop the big question.

With the beautiful Nashville skyline as a back drop, Tyler got down on one knee and asked Darien to be his wife. It was such a sweet moment! Darien of course said yes and walked off the bridge with a beautiful ring on her finger. What a perfect way to start their fun weekend getaway! After the big proposal, it was off to Bridgestone Arena for a Luke Combs concert. It doesn’t get better than that.

An amazing thing for me was that on a Friday afternoon in December, the bridge was empty. Trust me, that’s a rare moment! Everything lined up just right for the occasion. Nashville has become a favorite destination for Bachelorette parties… But a new trend I see as a photographer is an upswing in surprise proposals and engagements in Music City. Proposal photography is a must if you’re planning to propose while visiting Nashville!

My hat goes off to the men who recognize the importance of Proposal photography. And like Tyler, they go the extra mile to make it happen. Congratulations Tyler and Darien!
