I had the best time photographing a surprise proposal recently! Jon and Elaine came to Nashville on vacation from San Antonio, but Jon had a hidden agenda. Way back in June he put the plan into motion. He was planning to ask Elaine to marry him with the Nashville skyline in the background. The Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville was the perfect spot to pull off this surprise proposal.
Jon went above and beyond to plan the perfect proposal for Elaine! His attention to details made the surprise proposal go off without a hitch. (Seriously y’all – he’s had Annie from Elizabeth Events, a local Nashville wedding and event planner, and I on board for months!) Elizabeth Events was amazing. Having an event planner eased all the stress of set up and Jon was able to truly surprise Elaine.
The setting was beautiful. Who could resist the candles, red roses and “Marry Me” sign on the table? There were also sweet photos of the two of them hung with string lights. Onlookers began to gather as they realized what was about to happen. Excitement built in Downtown Nashville as the surprise proposal was going down.
When Jon dropped to one knee with that incredible ring in his hand, applause started from those around us. Speaking of the ring, you’re going to want to check this one out! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! It was a beautiful emerald cut diamond.
I loved having the chance to photograph this surprise proposal at the Pedestrian Bridge in Downtown Nashville. Scroll down and take a look at just some of my favorite moments from this special session!
