It’s no secret that Nashville has become THE destination for bachelorette parties in the last few years. But perhaps the secret to having the best bachelorette weekend ever is to take downtown Nashville bachelorette photos with a professional photographer! Planning a wedding (and a bachelorette weekend) can be stressful. That’s why I am thrilled when I see brides like Reagan book a photoshoot session during a weekend with their closest friends. Don’t let the stress of planning prevent you from capturing the memories of your celebrations. We’ve all been there – we get together with our long distance friend for 3 days and we walk away with… ONE SELFIE?! Booking a photoshoot during a girls trip or bachelorette party creates the space for you and your girls to have a little fun while someone else takes care of the behind-the-lens magic.
Pro Tips for your Downtown Nashville Bachelorette Photos
Reagan and her gal pals planned a bachelorette photoshoot in Downtown Nashville on the Pedestrian Bridge and Broadway. As a Nashville local, I might not frequent Broadway as often as I used to… But I still love to capture the Nashville skyline from the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge any chance I get! The bridge creates photo opportunities for just about 360° featuring the Nashville skyline, the Titans’ football stadium, and some more non-descript metropolitan backdrops. Such a fun detail was the fact that all the girls wore white or black boots, so we got to have a lot of fun playing around with positioning.
Nashville Bachelorette Photoshoot Pro-tip #1:
When there’s a chill in the air, take a cue from Reagan and her friends – bring LAYERS! You’ll have more fun (and get better pictures) if you have a jacket to shield you from a windy day vs. smiling through chattering teeth.
The fun didn’t stop here! After we got all of the Nashville bachelorette photos we could atop the bridge, we headed down to Broadway to capture some moments under the bright neon lights of the town’s most musical street.
Nashville Bachelorette Photoshoot Pro-tip #2:
You’ll often see outfit changes in a lot of my photoshoots and people wonder – how can they change if they’re doing an outside shoot??? You have OPTIONS! If you have a car, Amazon has several options for pop-up tents that are perfect for a quick change (you could also DIY this with an open trunk and a bedsheet, but that’s a story for another day 😂) If that’s not an option, it’s sometimes possible to find a hotel/Starbucks/restaurant with a lobby bathroom. (Just be sure to purchase something if you’re doing this at a dining establishment.)
The bride tossed on an adorable white minidress with customized jean jacket (and of course a veiled cowgirl hat) while the rest of the crew stuck with white/black/jeans. For Broadway bachelorette photoshoots, it’s best to take photos before 5 pm, to avoid crowds and overwhelm. During our planning call, however, we will work through if there are any special events we need to avoid, and troubleshoot any potential pitfalls.
