I recently got to work with Makeya and her team at Mission Dental to capture dentist branding photos and headshots. Makeya is a dentist in Nashville who acquired a practice and needed updated pictures for her website and social media profiles.

As a dentist, she loves serving her community by promoting education, preventative care, and treatment methods that enhance not only oral health, but overall health. Makeya is full to the brim with compassion and kindness, and it was such an honor to capture that on camera for her and the team.

Nashville Dental Office Branding Photos Goals

While we were planning Makeya and Mission Dental’s brand photoshoot, she knew she wanted pictures of her dental office space, her team working with clients, and individual headshots.  As we planned, Makeya created a shot list and started brainstorming props. We asked a handful of clients to join us for the photos, and everyone on the team came ready with matching, black scrubs.

 

Nashville Dentist Personal Branding Photos Process

We started this dentist branding photoshoot at Makeya’s office in Nashville, TN. We captured the lobby and patients waiting in the lobby first. I always encourage my brand photography clients to include others in their photos so they can easily share what it’s like to work with them. Makeya did a great job at this!

We were able to capture pictures of Makeya talking with clients of all ages and examining teeth for several different patients. We also were able to showcase her dental hygienist and assistant interacting with patients as well! Mission Dental’s team walked away with plenty of pictures they could use on their website, printed mailers and social media of each of the team members working with dental patients.

Some of my favorite brand pictures from this Nashville photoshoot with a dentist are the ones of Makeya in  her lab coat sitting at the dental chair. These lifestyle headshots are perfect for showing off her office space and surroundings, while also portraying her friendliness and professionalism.

A lot of dentists have stuffy, corporate headshots. Because of this it was important to capture lifestyle headshots that would still fit well for the dentistry industry. We also incorporated a lot of dental props in these brand photos, like Makeya’s loupes, dental cleaning kit, fake teeth, toothbrushes, and more!

We ended the session with a few team photos and individual headshots against a brick wall.

 

Brand Photoshoot Results and Inspiration For Your Own Dentist Headshots

I absolutely love the variety and uniqueness of this Nashville dentist brand photoshoot! Makeya and her team ended up with so many pictures that show their expertise, attention to detail, and personality. The Mission Dental team has done a great job of using their pictures on Instagram.
