Riley and Valerie’s yellow, lemon themed wedding day was a complete dream to photograph! Although they eloped a year ago, they didn’t get to exchange vows and celebrate with friends and family. So they decided to spend their first anniversary surrounded by loved ones at their big wedding celebration at Iriswoods Events in Mt. Juliet.

My favorite thing about this sweet couple and their wedding was the amount of joy and emotions you could feel all around them. Carlos, Valerie’s dad, tearfully walked her down the aisle to meet Riley. Everyone cheered loudly as Riley swooped Valerie up in his arms while “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) played in the background. And Landon and Isabella, the bride and groom’s siblings, had everyone laughing and crying at the reception during their toasts. All these little moments, and more, truly created an unforgettable day!

Another thing I loved about this wedding was the yellow and lemon themed décor. The lemon theme was perfect for this Summer celebration, and the reception room was decorated flawlessly. Each table had vases with lemons and beautiful floral arrangements with pops of yellow. The three-tier wedding cake sat in front of a yellow and white balloon arch and was topped with yellow roses. Each place setting had a SanPellegrino Limonata Organic with a yellow and white straw and a thank you tag. And lastly, each guest walked away with a jar of yellow honey as the wedding favor.

Irisiwoods Events is a wedding venue in Mt. Juliet, just outside of Nashville. Valerie and Riley exchanged vows outside in front of the wooden house. Then they partied with their family and friends in the reception tent behind the house. We took their bride and groom portraits around the ceremony site, the gravel driveway and the open field and barn on the property.
