It was so special to photograph Leo and Celia’s wedding day at Tucker’s Gap on Friday, July 10th. From all the dusty blue and sage details, to the adorable way they included their dogs, Rhonda and Fisher, in their wedding… Every detail was perfectly planned and put together!
The Greeley’s wedding ceremony was my favorite part of their day. Leo and Celia chose to write their own vows to each other, as well as share traditional weddings vows. After that, Tanner, their officiant, led them through the cord of three strands. He read, “Two are better than one…” as Leo and Celia held onto the 3 cords that represented them and God. Tanner read through Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 as Celia braided the 3 strands into 1 cord. When he ended with “A cord of three strands is not easily broken”, the couple had a visual representation of their marriage.
Leo and Celia’s whole wedding day was full of special details like that. From the vintage watch Celia wore down the aisle (a nod to her great grandmother) and the memorial candle placed next to Celia’s grandfather’s boots at the entrance of the ceremony site. Fisher’s dusty blue bow-tie dog collar to match the bridesmaids dresses, and Rhonda’s floral dog collar that resembled the bouquets. Plus the exchange of gifts, and the bride’s first looks with her dad and soon-to-be husband. There were so many little moments that made up their big day!
Despite having to plan a wedding during a global pandemic, Celia and Leo made the best of the situation. Since several of their friends weren’t able to travel to celebrate their wedding day at Tucker’s Gap, they live streamed the ceremony and included a virtual toast during the reception! Leo’s best man, Sean, suited up for the camera and pre-recorded his toast (which had everyone laughing).
