Coby and Alex - Surprise Proposal at Arrington Vineyards

I recently got to photograph the sweet moment when Coby proposed to Alex at Arrington Vineyards just outside of Franklin, TN. A few weeks before the proposal, Coby’s mom asked me to be there to document the special occasion! Surprise proposals are my absolute favorite, and I love how their families came together to make it a perfect celebration!

Coby and Alex went to Arrington on a Saturday for a wine tasting. Little did Alex know that her parents flew into Nashville and were ready to celebrate with her. All of the couple’s closest family and friends anxiously waited outside by a picnic table with the perfect view of the vineyards and proposal. I hid out by a tree and waited for just the right time to start photographing, so it would all be a surprise!

After their wine tasting, Coby led Alex down to the vineyards and got down on one knee. Alex immediately said “yes” and Coby pointed out to where their families were waiting. Alex was in disbelief! Everyone celebrated the happy couple with hugs, wine, and custom cookies! They even had a gorgeous bouquet by Ruffled Willow waiting for Alex. Everyone truly succeeded in surprising Alex at Arrington Vineyards for her proposal!

We quickly stepped away from the party to take a few engagement pictures right after the initial celebration! All of the images are full of joy and excitement! I loved having the chance to photograph this surprise proposal at Arrington Vineyards, and I’m sure the winery will always be special to Coby and Alex!
