One of the perks of living and working in an “it city” like Nashville is the frequent opportunity I get to work with out-of-town clients who choose to schedule their lifestyle and branding photo sessions while visiting. I recently worked with Kate Hutcheson of The Efficient Creative, a virtual assistant who provides project management services for female entrepreneurs, while she was in Nashville. Because she is not familiar with the area, I did a lot of location scouting and we were able to book a fabulous Nashville Airbnb that worked perfectly!
As a business owner, it’s obviously important to have a good headshot, but it’s the custom lifestyle images that feature your specific skills, personality, and interests that will truly set you apart in your industry and work wonders for attracting your ideal client. Kate brought her A-game when it came to props, so I was able to deliver a ton of photos that she’ll be able to use for all kinds of content! We captured her knitting, working on her iPad with her Apple pencil, bullet journaling, working with a client, and even a few with her dog for good measure.
If you are a service based business, I highly recommend capturing some pictures of you working with a client. Kate chose to have a friend stand in as a client for the shoot! Since her client work typically includes mapping out project and business launches, we shot several pictures of Kate and her client with sticky notes spread out on a table.
Visiting a new place, especially a vibrant city like Nashville, can do wonders to inspire your creativity! You’re out of your typical element, which can help you feel more adventurous and confident. Planning a trip to Music City is the perfect opportunity for creative entrepreneurs to make a personal branding session part of the itinerary. You’ll be amazed at how much content we can generate in a single shoot! Then you can head home with fun vacation memories and your social media and blog content sorted.
