Brides & Families

Fruit and Flora Wedding – Ruby – Nashville, TN

June 15, 2018

This Spring bohemian inspired Nashville styled shoot focuses on pops of colors and natural elements. The Middle Tennessee Ceremony and Reception venue, The Ruby, is a historic church in Nashville that was restored as a wedding venue. The white walls and exposed wood floors matched our theme perfectly. We used wooden doors from Southern Celebrations Co and hung greenery on them, and we used wooden fold up chairs for the seating arrangements. Our vintage rugs from Vintage Sparkle added color to our all white ceremony venue, and we felt they were a perfect fit for a boho bride to walk down the aisle.

Our Nashville boho bride wore a stunning yet simple gown, and she accessorized with gold cuffs, bracelets, and stackable rings. She held an oversized Spring bouquet to complement her simple gown, and we added little flowers in her hair. We went with a simple look, because we felt that a boho bride would keep her attire chic and simple, but would add to it through jewelry and her favorite accessories. Our groom was in a black suit, and he wore a boutonniere and tie to complete his look.

Our reception table was lined with blue velvet and fresh fruits. Our mismatched china from The Wedding Plate added elegant touches of soft pink, and created a sweet and romantic vibe. We lit candles and let the wax organically melt into place. We had 3 cakes on display on the dessert table, and each one was topped with fresh flowers and fruits. Two of the cakes were 1 tier desserts, and one was a 2 tier cake. The 2 tier cake was drizzled with caramel and had blueberries perched on top and at the foot of the cake. Our baker used pomegranate seeds and matching macaroons to garnish the cake. The 1 tier cakes were decorated with flowers and fresh fruit. One of the cakes had a pink ombre frost and the other one had a natural unfinished look.

My favorite detail?
If you take a good look at the pink cake you will find a sweet miniature macaroon hidden between the cut pear and the flower.
