Samantha and Matt got married last weekend in Nashville, TN at the Historic Travellers Rest Plantation. They live in Lake Tahoe, so they planned their simple and elegant wedding from a distance!
Their wedding ceremony was truly heartfelt and beautiful to witness. Their friend officiated the ceremony, and Matt was in tears the minute he saw Samantha walking down the aisle with her dad. They both read vows that they had written for each other, and Matt lovingly called Samantha “baby girl” and “sunshine”.
Samantha and Matt’s wedding was originally supposed to be outside, but this Spring wedding ended up with 40 degree weather, so they held the ceremony and the reception inside the barn. Samantha braved the cold weather for pictures outside with Matt and with their friends and family, and I am so happy she was willing to do that!
The Historic Travellers Rest Plantation has a beautiful herb garden with an archway of yellow flower blossoms. I told them how fitting it was to be surrounded by yellow blooms, as Matt kept calling Samantha, “Sunshine.” We also did some portraits in front of the main house.
Two of my favorite things about this wedding is the unique wedding favor and Samantha’s gorgeous ring (seriously take a look at the gorgeous pink stone on her finger)! Samantha and Matt gifted custom stitched patches to their friends and family with their proposal picture – they are very active in Lake Tahoe and enjoy the outdoors, so this gift perfectly fits them!
