Something Blue – Riverwood Mansion – Nashville, TN

December 7, 2017

Events by Goldman and I planned this “Something Blue” shoot earlier this year with the goal of sharing inspiration for a romantic and whimsical, blue themed wedding. We hosted the intimate wedding styled shoot at Riverwood Mansion, a historic venue in Nashville that has a beautiful garden and unique blue painted walls.

We featured plenty of blue details like the mismatched china, glassware in varying shades of blue, French macarons, blue linens on the plates, and a table runner made of greenery and natural and blue blooms. The venue’s blue walls were perfect backdrops for bridal portraits, and added a vintage, yet timeless, touch to the images.

The bride wore a two-piece wedding gown from Jaclyn Jordan NYC. I love how the delicate lace top pairs with the white tulle skirt.  Her hair was curled and neatly tucked into a bridal up do, and she accessorized with timeless Swarovski crystal jewelry pieces from Sparkle la Vie’s handmade bridal line.

I love when couples choose to gift each other something on their wedding day. Our bride and groom exchanged Thoughtful Boxes as their wedding gifts to each other. The boxes came filled with sweet trinkets and sentimental gifts that they would be able to keep for years to come and have as a memory of their special day.

Riverwood Mansion’s garden has an archway right out of a fairy tale. Their venue truly is romantic and whimsical, and the images of the bride twirling in the garden are by far my favorites from that day!

A fun detail about this shoot is that the floral arrangement from Gathered Grace Co are not real flowers. They specialize in creating arrangements out of artificial blooms. I would’ve loved to be able to keep my wedding flowers after my wedding, and an arrangement like this would allow a bride to do that!

Enjoy my favorite shots from this wedding shoot below!
