Last June I spent some time with Kage and her sweet dog Evan at Centennial Park in Nashville. Kage is a big dog lover (her instagram is proof), so I knew this was going to be a sweet session! We started this pet photo session by the entrance of the Sunken Gardens. Centennial Park has such a Central Park vibe to it (that lake, those flowers, and the little bridge – all that’s missing is a few skyscrapers and some extra space!). It’s one of my favorite locations for photoshoots in Nashville – you literally have every backdrop to choose from!

I had so much fun doing this shoot. Evan was too cute- he is a Cocker Spaniel / Terrier mix, and he is insanely sweet and obedient. It was so easy to work with him and to get the poses I wanted. He even is able to walk off leash (Kage credits her mom on that one)! Kage has such a contagious laugh! I loved this shoot because I got so many gorgeous candid shots of her!

My favorite thing about lifestyle pet sessions is that you get an hour to try to capture the amazing bond between a girl and her dog! Each dog has a different personality and every session is a surprise, but you always get pictures bursting at the seams with love and happiness!

I am jealous of Kage’s outfit! STYLE GOALS right here, guys! Does Kage look familiar yet? She’s a DJ for I106.7 here in Nashville, and she partners with a local animal rescue to help get dogs adopted! You might have seen a few of her selfies with the adoptable dogs!
