I’ve been itching to do a couple’s lake session all summer! There’s something sweet and romantic about the fresh air and the warm water, and I knew Nicole and Quinn would be perfect for this photo session. Nicole is a free spirit. She is up to try anything once, and she just likes to have fun. This was my first time meeting Quinn, but I definitely lucked out when Nicole easily convinced him to join her in the water!

I met up with Nicole and Quinn at Percy Priest Lake right before six pm. I knew we were cutting it close on time, and as much as I love golden hour, I was worried that we wouldn’t manage to get all the shots I wanted due to the sun going down. We spent about 15 minutes for each outfit, and I had them change their poses pretty quickly within those 15 minute sessions. They were pros!

How cute are they? There was so much love radiating out of the two of them during their photo session. You can feel the joy they share through the pictures. I love that I get the chance to capture those emotions for someone.

I love this coral top that Nicole brought along. It feels like summer!

I love shooting with smoke bombs! I had a couple saved in a drawer at my house that were left over from a senior session I did two years ago. I didn’t know if they would even work, but I brought them along just in case. I love adding the colorful haze to the frame.

These frames are probably my favorite from the entire session. It was starting to get dark- the sky was painted a few different colors, and the water started to cool.

Before we packed up and left, Nicole and Quinn let me snap a few pictures in front of my car’s headlights. It started raining, but they didn’t even care. They still hadn’t dried off from the lake, so it didn’t even make a difference.
