Dear Nala

Two years ago you walked into my life. When I parked by the lake and opened my front door, I never would’ve guessed that you would jump right into my car. From day one you took hold of my heart, and I’ve just been along for the ride.

You are my most adventurous hike buddy, my perfect couch potato, and my favorite dinner date. Your enthusiasm is contagious and you remind me to appreciate the little things, like butterflies and going for a walk.

You are a light in my life. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, when I see you jumping at the door when you hear me pull into the driveway, I can’t help but smile. Thank you for always welcoming me home with sweet kisses.

You deserve to be celebrated every day. Thank you for being so much more than a dog, and for being my best friend.
