Winter weddings stand out in their own way. Kendra and Logan’s wedding at Baker Events in Holland, MI was no exception. Against a backdrop of softly falling snow, their black-and-white wedding exuded timeless elegance and heartfelt moments. From the first look to the intentional ceremony, followed by a surprise tribute that left many in tears at the reception… Every detail of their day was thoughtful, warm, and weaved in their love for their family and friends.
As a wedding photographer, I always love when couples share a first look before their ceremony. It’s a quiet moment before the chaos of the day picks up. Plus, it usually allows us a few extra minutes for bride and groom portraits. Kendra and Logan braved the cold and we were able to capture the most gorgeous, romantic, snow-dusted wedding photos. The white gown shimmered against the snowy backdrop, while Logan’s classic black suit added a sharp contrast.
The ceremony was intimate and personal. I love when couples opt to go down a more “non-traditional” route and choose a loved one to officiate. In this case, Logan’s sister brought warmth and intentionality by leading them through the ceremony and vows. Then at the reception, Kendra surprised her mom, Anisa, with a bouquet dedication! Anisa went above and beyond to bring Kendra’s vision to life. She made the bouquets and floral arrangements, decorated, and set up all the details. She truly planned tirelessly leading up to the big day. It was a touching moment that resonated with everyone in the room, and Kendra did such a sweet job of highlighting the depth of her love and gratitude.
My favorite thing about Kendra and Logan’s wedding day was a small decision that made a big impact. They chose to have a receiving line after the ceremony as their friends and family entered the reception hall. I loved getting to see them personally greet each guest as they arrived! Wedding days can feel like a blur, but I know this intentional moment shared with each friend allowed them to be present and grounded in the big day.
From the first snowflake to the final dance, Kendra and Logan’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration, and I’m so grateful I was able to travel to Michigan to document this part of their love story. How Logan Proposed to Kendra (As told by Kendra)
“After having a really tough week at work, Logan told me that we were driving two hours north to spend the weekend with his family at their cabin. This sounded like my worst nightmare and I tried to convince him that I didn’t need to go. I ended up falling asleep on the way there and woke up to a phone call from his mom that they were running late and gave us the code to the door. The two hours ride ended up taking us closer to 3 hours due to a really bad snow and ice storm.
When we got to the cottage, I was upset all over again when he asked me to be the one to walk to the door to unlock and open it. My attitude changed very quickly when I saw him getting down on one knee in the reflection of the glass door! Turns out that his family was not coming up to spend the weekend with us. It was all a hoax just to get me there. His family had gone up during the week and decorated the whole cottage with pictures of us and rose petals everywhere.
We spent the rest of the night calling all of our loved ones, drinking my favorite sparkling cider and eating our favorite food-truck pizza.

Such a beautiful capture of a beautiful couple & their story. To be a part of the beginning of the next chapter was a great privilege.
I pray the Lord bless them many years together. If you remember to keep God at the lead as the ‘editor in cheif’, He will get you through anything that causes any bump.
Logan & Kendra hearing of all those little things you already do for each other, you see your love for eachother and God’s hand in this union.
Much love and prayers, 🫶🏻
