Matthew and Courtney’s long-awaited Nashville wedding day at Scarritt Bennett Center and Loveless Barn was a beautiful celebration. Their original wedding date was supposed to be on 4/19/2020. After a series of postponements they finally celebrated with family and friends on 10/17/21.
Every detail of the day was perfectly planned, but my favorite personal touch has to be the telling of Matthew and Courtney’s love story.
During their wedding ceremony at Scarritt Bennett the mother of the bride, Marta, shared the intricacies of how Matthew and Courtney met. She then followed with the details of how they came to know each other, fall in love, how Matthew pulled off a major surprise of a proposal at the Grand Ole Opry, and eventually made it to “I Do”. While she read their their story, she also shared statements written by the couple about the different stages of their relationship. It was a beautiful way to zoom out from their moment at the alter and see the big picture of the love they share.
Matthew and Courtney’s ceremony included several readings by family and loved ones, a few songs sang by bridesmaids and friends, and even a bagpiper before the bride made her way down the aisle! After the ceremony, we wrapped up our time at Scarritt Bennett with a few family portraits and wedding photos inside the chapel and outside with the arches and architecture of Scarritt Bennnett Center.
The green, white and gold color palette for this Nashville Loveless Barn wedding reception was stunning! The inside of the barn was adorned with white linens and string lights. And each table had gold vases with white flowers and greenery. The reception décor was timeless and elegant.
The bride and groom planned a traditional wedding reception. After they were introduced, they shared first dances and a cake cutting. It then didn’t take long after dinner before everyone joined the dance floor and enjoyed the live band! The fun night came to a close with a UT-orange pom-poms send off!
