“Cant Help Falling In Love” played from the speakers as Lisa tearfully made her way down the aisle to Troy. She met him in front of a copper wedding arch draped with fabric and greenery at Marathon Village. She wore the biggest smile as the officiant shared a reading from Union by Robert Fulghum.
Troy and Lisa wrote their own vows for their ceremony. Troy’s started with a fun fact about how they met (Lisa swiped right on Bumble and broke the ice by asking Troy about his favorite karaoke jam). Lisa’s vows perfectly fit their music-themed wedding with her reference to music. She teased that she expected her forever love to sound like a country song, not a hip-hop song. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Troy and Lisa exchanged vows.
There were so many special moments through out this wedding day. From the ladies getting ready in their matching robes. Troy and his groomswoman putting the finishing touches on his suit like his Dodgers cufflinks. The tearful first look and the symbolic lighting of the unity candle. And the heartfelt dances Lisa shared with her father and Troy with his mother (hip-hop song and all). All these little moments made up their big day!
The reception was absolutely stunning with touches of navy and sangria in the wedding decor. Troy and Lisa planned a music and Nashville themed wedding. Every sign at the reception was designed like a hatch print and they had an Ed Sheeran record as the guestbook. My favorite detail was the Goo Goo Clusters and Loveless Cafe Jam that they had as wedding favors!
Troy and Lisa had a hurricane proposal and a pandemic wedding. Despite the challenges that come with planning a wedding during a pandemic, these 2 made the best of the situation and shared a beautiful celebration.
