What is SEO and why is it important
Search engine optimization can sometimes feel like such an odd concept. But as soon as you start implementing small changes in your website to improve your SEO, you will see leads come in. Google is currently my number one lead source for my small business. And I know that it can be the same for you. The best thing about Google leads is that they are free. It’s organic traffic that you didn’t pay for! Before I dive in, I just want to cover the basics as to what a keyword is and what search engine optimization means.
A keyword is the word or phrase that you’re going to put on your website to rank on a search engine like Google. If one of your clients is looking on Google for your product or services, what are they typing into the search bar? That is going to be the keywords that you want to implement onto your website.
Search engine optimization (or SEO) is the act of improving your search engine and ranking so that you can increase the traffic to your website. So it’s the different steps that you’re going to take to improve the content on your website to rank on a platform like Google.
2 Types of Keywords To Add To Your Website to Improve Your SEO
The two keywords I would recommend you research are related keywords and long tail keywords. A related keywords is related to your primary keyword, but it’s a little less obvious. It might not be the first thing that someone thinks to search when they are looking for your product or services. But it’s something that pairs well with it, or it’s a variation of it. A long tail keyword is what I like to think of as a frequently asked question that someone might have about your product or service or a really descriptive search in Google. It’s 4 to 6 words long and it allows someone to be specific with what they are looking for.

Where to find SEO Keywords for your Website
My favorite place to start with SEO keyword research is a search engine. I like to open up Google and start a search with my primary keywords to see what pops up. Google will automatically auto-populate other popular searches. This lets me know what people are searching for and can help me find related keywords, or I might know what questions they’re asking. The best way to find long tail keywords is to do a Google Search and scroll down to the “people also ask” section.
Another great place to search is Uber Suggest. You can type in a keyword and it will actually give you the volume of how often that keyword is used. It will tell you the popularity of it, so you know if it’s a really competitive keyword or if you have a better chance of ranking!
The third website I love to use is Answer the Public. All you have to do is type in your keyword or topic, and it will give you a ton of ideas of what people are already searching for.
Where to Use SEO KEywords on your website
In order to make this all come together, you need to know where to put your keywords on your website. First, you’ll want to add your keywords to the meta-description and the titles of your web pages. Another great place for your SEO keywords is your blog. Your long tail keywords are usually great topics for your blog posts. You can also create a Frequently Asked Questions section on your website to add some of your keywords on your site. The last place that you’re obviously going to want to use your keywords is the actual text on your website body. You’re going to want to aim to have at least 750 words per page, because that is how Google is going to find your content and rank you in searches.

her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and
it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
