Joseph and Brittney got married this past weekend at Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood, TN. This sweet couple beat the rain and had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony surrounded by friends and family!
Brittney and the girls sipped on mimosas in their white and blue robes while they got ready for the day. My jaw dropped when I saw the gorgeous gown from The White Room hanging in the bridal suite. Brittney’s wedding colors were dusty blue and navy, so it was fitting that her Steve Madden heels perfectly matched the bridesmaids’ dresses! One of my favorite details to photograph was the box of chocolates that held their rings. The couple shares a love for Forest Gump and incorporated that in their wedding day!
Joseph and Brittney didn’t want to see each other before their ceremony. Instead, they chose to share a first touch while exchanging letters they had written. This was a sweet moment to witness, and Joseph teared up while reading what Brittney wrote. Right after the exchanging of letters, Brittney and her dad shared their first look. Mark got teary eyed as he saw Brittney make her way down the spiral staircase.
The sweet couple chose to have their wedding ceremony in the lawn in front of Ravenswood Mansion. Brittney walked out of the mansion doors and met Joseph under a linen draped arch. There were rain clouds in sight, but thankfully the rain held off until after the ceremony!
Joseph and Brittney planned an amazing reception party for their guests! They shared their first dance to a song written by the groom’s father. Their parents tapped in and joined them on the dance floor mid way through the song! Soon after they announced a huge surprise – their college mascot, Big Red from Western Kentucky University, made an appearance and danced the night away with their guests!
The newlyweds enjoyed dancing, cake cutting, and toasts at their reception. They also had a fun bouquet and garter toss! My favorite picture is when Joseph retrieved the garter and you can see Brittney’s dad in the background with his jaw dropped!
The night wrapped up with one final dance to “I’ve Had The Time Of My Life” where Joseph lifted Brittney up in the air. Everyone then headed to the front of the mansion for a red towel send off! Joseph and Brittney ran past their guests and jumped into their (batman) limo and were off!
