Aires and Marieta visited Nashville, fell in love with the city, and decided to plan a downtown Nashville destination wedding! They both love Nashville and country music, so it seemed like the ideal place for their Big Day. They traveled to the city with their closest friends and family to celebrate their love with a fun-filled wedding and reception at The Listening Room, and I had so much fun capturing every moment! 

Every detail was thoughtfully crafted and handmade by Marieta. She personally arranged the beautiful, autumnal bouquet she carried and the men’s boutonnieres. Marieta’s nine-year-old son, Lucas, walked her down the aisle and then stood as Aires’s best man. The couple tied the knot with a sweet, intimate wedding ceremony before getting the party started with their guests!

The reception décor, crafted by Marieta, featured sheet music and a cream and black color palette. The couple even had a custom painted guitar for guests to sign as the guestbook! When visiting Nashville, Marieta and Aires heard a songwriter playing at The Listening Room, and they ended up hiring him to play at their own reception, which was a really fun, personal touch.

There were so many surprises when it came to the traditional first dances! Marieta and Aires danced their first dance as husband and wife to Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up,” before Marieta shared a dance with her son, Lucas. The mother and son dance began traditionally, but quickly shifted to a fun, upbeat routine to “It’s Raining Tacos!” After that sweet and entertaining number, Marieta surprised everyone by having her entire family join her for her dance with her dad. They performed a traditional Albanian dance that was so much fun!

The bride and groom weren’t the only ones dancing. They hired a company to teach everyone how to line dance, which was a huge hit! Guests loved learning the steps and then performing to two country songs and a hip-hop mix. Marieta, Aires, and their guests kept the party going until the very last song. The happy couple treated everyone to a gift bag full of Nashville treats—Goo Goo Clusters, Moon Pies, and Nashville-inspired recipes—before continuing the celebration with an after-party on Broadway!
