Engagement photo sessions are some of my favorites! Often times couples arrive for their shoot feeling a little unsure and anxious about posing. This is totally normal since most of us are not professional models! But that’s where my work comes in! I get to ease couples into relaxing and being silly, making faces, cuddling up to each other, and following prompts that may sound crazy. Like asking you to share what you had for breakfast in your sexiest voice! But the end result is absolutely precious photos. A big part of being a Nashville photographer is knowing how to pose and style a shot so it results in the dreamy picture you’ve imagined, but have no idea how to achieve.
I had so much fun with Anna and Cameron for this engagement session in downtown Nashville. They knew they wanted an urban vibe that also incorporated plenty of greenery and nature. We naturally ended up at Cumberland Park! The park has flowers, cute pathways, and lots of greenery, with the bonus of having the impressive Nashville skyline and Pedestrian Bridge directly behind you. I always encourage clients to schedule engagement photo sessions around golden hour. Anna and Cameron did, so the lighting was perfectly warm and romantic.
The pair chose to bring two outfits which allowed them to showcase their personalities a bit more. An engagement session is all about getting comfortable in front of the camera and capturing the unique personality of your relationship. Engagement season passes quickly, given the busy nature of wedding planning, so taking time to dress up and get lost in the magic of the moment with your soul mate is so important. I love delivering gorgeous photos full of joy and you’ll love having a lasting keepsake of such a special, once-in-a-lifetime moment with your future spouse!
