THE WEDDING DAY

Mitch and Lisa got married this past weekend at Barn in the Bend in Madison, TN. This sweet couple had one of the most beautiful wedding days, and their portraits in the field of yellow flowers are breathtaking!

Lisa and the ladies sipped on mimosas in their navy robes while getting ready at a nearby airbnb. They then headed to the bridal suite at Barn in the Bend where Lisa changed into her gorgeous gown and shared a sweet moment with her mom as she zipped up the dress. Lisa chose to wear her grandma’s pearls and her mom’s earrings as her “something borrowed” for the day. Lisa chose to share a first look with her dad, and she gifted him an embroidered handkerchief.

Mitch and Lisa had their first look out in the field of their wedding venue. They couldn’t help but smile when they saw each other, and Mitch shed a tear. The yellow field they were standing in was so fitting for their wedding since Lisa chose navy and yellow as their wedding colors!

Lisa and Mitch had a first look, so we were able to take all of the bridal party portraits and most of the family portraits prior to the wedding ceremony! This allowed Lisa and Mitch to enjoy more time with their guests at their reception later in the evening. I love the fact that Mitch and his groomsmen all wore colorful and patterned socks! It made for a fun photo op!

The sweet couple were married by Mitch’s father on a covered patio that overlooks a farm and downtown Nashville. They had a beautiful view behind them as they stood under an arch lined with greenery and yellow roses. Lisa and Mitch assembled a unity cross during their ceremony to represent the two of them becoming one. It was a beautiful ceremony to witness, and Lisa had the biggest smile the entire time!

My all time favorite thing about Mitch and Lisa’s wedding is that they chose to set aside a few minutes to take additional portraits during sunset. We headed back out to the yellow field and had the most gorgeous lighting for bride and groom pictures! This only took us a few minutes, and then they were able to go back to the reception to enjoy time with friends and family.

The party really started when the dance floor opened up! You can see just how much fun their family and friends had dancing together until the end of the night! Lisa’s grandma, the sweet lady rocking the hot pink dress and navy shoes, was the life of the party! We ended the night with a sparkler exit outside of the barn!
