Joshua & Payton
Bell Buckle Banquet Hall

The Backstory
Josh and Payton met in college in their common courses. At the time, they took Biology and Chemistry together, and Josh asked Payton for help with his Chemistry homework. Months later after they started dating, Payton found out that Josh never really needed a tutor, he just wanted an excuse to spend time with her!
The Wedding Day
Josh and Payton got married this past weekend at the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall in Bell Buckle, TN. This sweet couple had one of the most beautiful wedding days surrounded by their joyful and emotional family and friends! Josh and Payton decided to skip the traditional wedding party set up, and instead they chose to get ready and start off the day in the presence of their parents and siblings.
I loved spending time with the ladies while Payton was putting on her bridal details. Michelle, Payton’s mom, held back tears as she zipped up Payton’s gown and neatly tied the crystal sash around her waist. Payton wore a floral lace gown, a cathedral length champagne colored veil, and a dainty, gold necklace with the letters “P” and “J”. The bride gave her family a color palette to follow when choosing dresses for the wedding, and you will be able to see what a great job they did with their finds! The navy and champagne colored dresses were absolutely stunning!
Josh and Payton chose to share a first look together before their wedding ceremony. They were all smiles as they saw each other for the first time. At this time we took advantage of the fact that it wasn’t raining and photographed all their bride and groom portraits.
Bell Buckle Banquet Hall was beautifully decorated with navy and champagne accents, and the floral centerpieces had white roses and ranunculuses. Payton’s bouquet also had the white flowers paired with eucalyptus leaves and sea holly. One of my favorite (and sweetest) details from this wedding was the candy bar for guest favors!
Josh and Payton were married by a friend in the center of the room. The setting was romantic, and they were surrounded by candles under a garland wrapped chandelier. As a wedding photographer, I witness a lot of receptions and hear a lot of toasts, but the speeches made at this wedding were some of my all time favorites! Josh’s sister, Katy, shared a heartwarming toast with the newlywed couple that left a lot of guests in tears! The first dances were also incredibly sweet! Payton and her dad danced to “Bold as Love”, Josh and his mom danced to “Humble and Kind”, and the sweet couple danced to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson.
The party really started when the dance floor opened up! You can see just how much fun their family and friends had dancing together until the end of the night!
