I met Danielle and Henry last year when she included him in her branding session at Vanderbilt. Henry is a nine year old yellow lab and he has been with Danielle since he was a puppy. The two are inseparable! Recently Henry suffered an embolism and had to be hospitalized for two weeks. As soon as he was able to come home, Danielle scheduled a photo session for them!

Henry lost the use of his hind legs, so we knew it would be easiest to take his pictures at their apartment where he would be comfortable. Henry and Danielle are the cutest, and he definitely enjoyed his apples and peanut butter as a treat for posing!

Some cute little details from this pet photo session are that Henry’s bed and favorite stuffed animal actually belonged to Danielle’s childhood dog! I am seriously impressed that Danielle has managed to keep both of those things in tact for over 15 years!

Danielle isn’t sure what Henry’s recovery may look like, but Henry has been doing really well with his water therapy and Danielle takes him out to the park in a big stroller! It really touched my heart to see how both Danielle and Henry are working hard to achieve the best recovery possible!
