Josh and Karina welcomed Avery Rose into the world on January 28th, 2019. I had the privilege of capturing Avery’s newborn photography session at their home in Fort Campbell, KY a week after she was born!
Avery did such a great job for her newborn pictures, and she was so calm the entire session! She wore a sweet, floral onesie and a yellow bow on her head. Karina and Josh cuddled her through out the shoot, and she even gave us a little smile near the end of the post!
Karina recently shared the story of how they chose Avery’s middle name, and it is so sweet that it needed to be shared here as well! They chose the middle name Rose to tie in to their love story! The first single flower Josh ever gave Karina was a rose, and he’s included a rose in every bouquet he has given to Karina through out the years!
My favorite thing about in-home newborn photography is that I get to capture the nursery and the little details parents worked so hard to put together! Avery’s nursery is decorated with touches of gold and pink everywhere, with floral patterns mixed in! Josh and Karina did such an amazing job setting up her room, and it was the perfect setting for our pictures! A fun fact about Avery’s nursery is that Josh actually built a lot of the furniture himself! The changing table, shelves, and table next to the glider are all hand made! My favorite little details in her room would be the subtle touches of greenery like the simple wreath hanging over her crib and the cactus on her shelf!
