Jordan & Anna

The Proposal Story:
”I came home from work one Friday in November and when I opened the door I found a trail of balloons with pictures of us throughout our relationship weighting them down. All of the lights had been strategically placed to coordinate with the balloons to guide me back to our bedroom. He had a candles lit and he was playing “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. He was waiting for me in the bedroom and when I rounded the corner to see him I froze. We just looked at each other for a few seconds before he started to speak. He got down one one knee and proposed in a manner that was so perfect for the two of us and I couldn’t have been more surprised!”
The Wedding Day:
Jordan and Anna’s wedding day was a dream. The happy couple was truly present and joyful on their wedding day, and they celebrated with friends and family at Ravenswood Mansion.
Anna and the ladies got their hair and make up done while enjoying mimosas and light snacks. Anna was giddy and danced while joking around. Anna’s Jennifer Lopez wedding dress had gorgeous button details, laced cutouts, and criss-cross beaded straps. She also included a sentimental touch when she wore a bracelet that was made with a brooch from her grandmother.
Jordan and Anna decided to do a first look for their wedding day. I can never recommend this enough to my brides! A first look will give you a chance to get more portraits, use your time wisely and knock out bridal party pictures before the ceremony, and it will allow you to have a sweet moment together in the midst of a busy day!
Jordan and Anna had their ceremony outside of the mansion in front of the porch. The wedding party started walking down the aisle to the song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Out of the corner of my eye I caught Jordan’s mom wiping away a tear as Jordan made his way to the front. The ceremony was short and sweet, and Jordan and Anna celebrated together with hands held high as soon as they were announced Husband and Wife!
I loved the color scheme for this fall themed wedding! The bridesmaids wore cranberry dresses and the guys had on navy suits with cranberry ties and white boutonnieres. The bouquets had pops of yellow and rich green tones, and Anna’s bouquet had 2 special touches – her mother’s handkerchief from her own wedding day around the stems and her grandmother’s handkerchief folded into the bouquet as a cloth flower.
Jordan and Anna’s reception was full of fun details and surprises! The happy couple cut the cake and went straight into their first dance as “The Luckiest” by Ben Folds started playing. Anna and her dad then surprised everyone with a choreographed Father-Daughter dance to “Can’t Stop The Feeling” by Justin Timberlake (definitely a crowd pleaser)! My favorite reception details are definitely the donut bar with Five Daughter’s Bakery donuts and the coffee set up from The Proverbial Cup. The happy couple wrapped up the night with a colorful wedding exit as they ran past two rows of glow sticks!
