Bridal photography sessions are one of my all-time favorites! Joy is one of my dear friends, and she got married in August at Scarritt Bennett in Nashville.  She chose to have a Bridal Session the week before her wedding! These sessions are great for Brides because it gives you a chance to do a trial run of your hair and makeup, and you get to wear your wedding dress and shoes to make sure everything fits comfortably before the big day!

Joy Summers works as a Radio DJ on the Carlos and Joy show at WAY-FM, a contemporary Christian radio station, so she planned a large wedding and knew her day of schedule would be tight. Her bridal session allowed her to have plenty of time to get portraits in a relaxed setting. Joy’s dress from Glitz Nashville was stunning. Her favorite part of her gown was the beaded belt that fit around her waist. Her wedding dress was very princess-like, which fits Joy’s style to a T. She had a beautiful floor length veil that worked perfectly to get veil shots! I love Joy’s loose curls and her false lashes. They really complete the princess look!

Scarritt Bennett is a beautiful venue in Nashville, and their chapel has an old pipe organ. I loved using the chapel’s textures and venue’s architecture as backdrops for Joy’s portraits. Joy loved their bell tower, so we made sure to incorporate that into her session. My favorite shots are of Joy sitting in front of the stained glass window.
