Spring is officially here, and it feels so wonderful!

Rebie and I got together to do a portrait session last week in Franklin, TN, and we had so many location options now that Spring is in full bloom.

I had mapped out our photo locations prior to the session, so we just jumped in my car and made our way around the Cool Springs area in Franklin. We started in front of some gorgeous white blossoms in front of a factory. It smelled so bad, but the pictures are gorgeous and they were worth it!

There were all these yellow bushes as well – the pictures truly feel like spring!

After that, we pulled over on the side of the road next to a field with cat tails. I absolutely love fields! They are perfect for adding layers and subtle details to your frame. The lighting was perfect – we definitely got lucky!

Rebie is awesome to work with because she is up for an adventure. She was down for all of our locations, and she was willing to do what was needed to get the perfect shot.

We wrapped up our session at a cute, hidden park in Cool Springs tucked away from the bustle of the main roads. There is a gorgeous daffodil field in full bloom right now, and it is the perfect backdrop for portraits (plus it smells so good)!

I think my favorite thing about this session is the fact that Rebie was on the other side of my camera! Rebie is a photographer and an all-around digital-guru, so she is normally hidden behind her Canon instead of standing in front of the lens. It was so fun to bounce ideas off of her and to try out some poses with her.
