Brad and Morgan - Nashville Surprise Proposal with Dogs

It didn’t take much to get me to say “yes” when Brad reached out asking me to be a part of this surprise proposal with their dogs! Brad had the perfect cover up for the proposal, because he had gifted Morgan a photo session for Christmas!

Morgan thought they were meeting me at Ellington Agricultural Center to get some updated pictures with their 2 dogs, Ellie and McKinley. Little did she know that Brad had a whole surprise planned for her! We started the surprise proposal session with a few staged pictures by some pillars. Brad and I planned to “warm up” to the actual proposal by taking pictures for 10 minutes beforehand. The dogs were posing so well and the pictures are adorable!

About 10 minutes in, I told Morgan I was going to take some pictures of just the girls! I had her come in front with the 2 dogs, and that’s when Brad got in position behind her. After I snapped a few pictures I told her to turn around. You’ll love the look of surprise on her face when she realized Brad was down on 1 knee proposing!

Brad was prepared and brought a long a felt letter board so we could take engagement announcement pictures after the proposal! Morgan wrote out “Mommy and Daddy are getting married” on the letter board and we included their 2 dogs in the announcement photos! My absolute favorite thing about photographing surprise proposals in Nashville is that we get to do a mini engagement session afterwards! Surprise proposals are so great because you get to capture an important milestone, followed by a few sweet “just engaged” portraits to share online or use for your save the dates! Brad went the extra mile and even had Morgan do her nails before the session, so she was picture ready to show off her new ring!
