Jonathan and Cassie’s Wedding at Belle Meade Historic Site in Nashville, TN

July 1, 2018

Cassie and her bridesmaids started off the day at an Airbnb where they got their hair and make up done and where they exchanged gifts. Cassie gifted bracelets and a monogrammed clutch to each bridesmaid, and the girls surprised Cassie with a Polaroid camera and a selfie stick for her honeymoon.

Once we arrived at the venue, Cassie and her mom worked on the finishing touches in the Bridal Suite. Cassie wore a gorgeous lace wedding dress with a sheer back, and a  delicate hair piece to complement her up do. Cassie then did a first look with both her dad and her step-dad.

Cassie and her step-dad exchanged gifts, and it was such a sweet moment. Cassie got Larry a neck tie with a hidden sentiment sewed to the back, and Larry surprised Cassie with a miniature letter that she had to unscroll and a sixpence for her to put in her shoe.

Jonathan and Cassie chose to do a first look privately before their guests arrived. Belle Meade Plantation is a gorgeous wedding venue in Nashville that has plenty of greenery and scenic backdrops for pictures. The bride and groom chose to see each other for the first time under a huge Magnolia tree.

Cassie and Jonathan had such a fun wedding party, but my all time favorite addition was Huckleberry, their sweet dog. Huckleberry came wedding ready with a classy wedding dog leash and collar that was adorned with green leaves. The couple also included their dog at the reception by having a special drink named after him at the bar! The Huckleberry drink was made with huckleberry vodka, club soda, lime juice, lemon juice, huckleberry puree and fresh mint!

I loved everything about the decor for this wedding and reception! Blush and gold adorned the entire venue, and the timeless tablescapes included fresh cut flowers in tall gold vases. Cassie and Jonathan originally planned to get married outside, but at the very last minute, once all the guests had arrived and were seated in the garden, it started pouring down rain! The wedding was moved indoors into the barn under string lights.

After the wedding ceremony, the sweet couple gathered with their friends and family for toasts and dancing. The first dances are always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, and I always get emotional! I love seeing how joyful and in love the newlyweds are, and I love the sweet emotions that set in during the Bride and Father of the Bride dance and the Groom and Mother of the Groom dance!

You can find my favorite moments from Jonathan and Cassie’s special day below!
