Last Sunday I spent my afternoon in Murfreesboro with the sweetest little family of 4. Noah was due in mid-November, but Mallory and Andy became first time parents in October when Noah arrived 3 weeks early. I had a newborn session with them at their home, and they wanted to include their sweet rescue dog, Dakota. In home lifestyle photography sessions are so great for newborns because it is a way to perfectly capture real life with your new bundle of joy.
Mallory and Andy went with a blue color scheme and an airplane theme for Noah’s nursery. They have clouds and airplanes decorating his tiny room, and calming touches of blue are all over his crib. The wooden airplane shelf hanging on the wall was built by Noah’s dad, and the crocheted booties on the shelf were passed down to Noah by his mom’s great grandmother (she made them and every baby in her family has worn them).
As you can tell, Dakota is such a good big brother and is adjusting very well to his new companion. He has a dog bed right next to Noah’s crib, and he is very attentive to Noah’s needs. When Noah was crying, Dakota was very quick to bark and let Mallory and Andy know. Dakota enjoyed some cuddles on the bed, and he made sure to pose for me for a few shots with his family!
My favorite things about Noah’s nursery would be the scripture verse hanging on his wall next to the clouds, and the bare wood flooring in his room. Everything about this sweet photo shoot was cozy and homey, and you can see my favorite shots below!
